Dry brushing has been around for centuries and spans many cultures from India, China, Japan, Egypt, and Scandinavia. There are many techniques to achieve the benefits of boosting vascular circulation, stimulating your lymphatic system and rejuvenating the skin's surface.
A brief how-to:
- Dry brush before jumping in a shower or bath. Do not get brush wet or use on wet skin.
- Start at the soles of your feet and brush upwards in long gentle strokes, working towards the heart. Avoid face, open wounds and areas of skin that are already irritated.
- Shower or bathe after dry brushing and moisturize immediately after.
